my first oil painting!!
took about five weeks, referenced from 6 photographs I found here and there.....This is I guess your typical 'endangered species' statement. It's a king cheetah, which is just a genetic mutation of a regular spotted cheetah....adds to the rarity issue. Man. I want to go deeper into this explaination, but my brain has left me completely. I'm proud of this one: I actually finished on time and it looks pretty cool. Yay! I've been disappointed with my art for so long and this is a nice change. title is from a poem by Edmund Waller(?) called 'Go, Lovely Rose'....that was set to music....Whitacre, of course...not that any of that has anything to do with the actual content of the painting.... |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
